A night of glitz and glamour for Sophie’s 40th Birthday Celebration!  With a candle-lined, red carpet entry into Victoria Park Golf Complex‘s private marquee, Sophie’s guests knew this party was going to be something special! The marquee overlooked the spectactular city lights of Brisbane which created the perfect backdrop for this glamorous red and black themed cocktail party. When Sophie & Con came to us and asked for something elegant and glamorous for Sophie’s birthday, we knew exactly what theme to create for her. As we love everything glamourous, this party theme was so much fun to design and create! From Swarovski Crystals to gorgeous rich red ostrich feather centrepieces, nothing was spared to create a glamour wonderland event!

This metre high rose cake, designed by Marabous and hand-crafted by the very talented Anne Romali was definitely the main attraction for the guest paparazzi!  As soon as the guests walked in the door they could see this stunning cake, lavishly decorated with black ostrich feathers, Swarovski Crystal diamonds and of course the delicate hand made icing rosettes adorning the entire cake.

The glamourous black, white and red theme was carried throughout the entire event with luxurious black satin lined dry bars, white leather ottomans scattered throughout and a black & white checkered dance floor for a stunning effect.   Full length black satin drapery with red feather details lined the marquee windows with the lighting playing a lead role in highlighting all the design features.

All sweets were displayed on crystals servingware on decorated tables of red candles and tall vases overflowing with luscious ostrich feathers from Decorative Events. The Greeks definitely know how to bake up a storm with an amazing array of traditional sweets for the 5 metre long dessert buffet!   Alongside this buffet was a stylish coffee station with custom printed, red cocktail napkins embossed with a silver foiled emblem & ” Sophie’s 40th Birthday “. These were a lovely momento to take home and almost too beautiful to use.  There was also fresh red roses, hand crafted into rose balls to top the below crystal pillars. These added a beautiful and delicate scent to the room.

Sophie’s friends and family danced the night away, sipping on cocktails and enjoying delicious, gourmet finger foods.  The night was a huge success and the birthday girl was absolutely delighted!
