Beautiful Vintage Cup Candles
Here’s an idea for some different to put a smile on your mum’s face this Mother’s Day! Get crafty with these vintage cup candles using some hand picked vintage cups and bits of old candles you have at home that are too short to re-use. The candles can be melted down to give them a new life.
DIY Instructions via www.georgicapond.blogspot.com
- Take bits of used candles and melt down in a double boiler. Be careful, it’s hot and messy so make sure there is adult supervision.
- Prepare your pieces of china with a store bought wick by hanging off a bamboo stick so that the metal disk sits on the bottom and the wick is nice and straight.
- You can use a selection of vintage tea cups or jugs or anything that can withstand the heat from the melted wax. Use your imagination and get creative!
Happy Mother’s Day!
