A lovely dessert table titled ‘The Land of Sweets’ submitted by the talented Alison of Alison Lawson Cakes. This table was to created to celebrate the end of pre-school for her eldest son Fergus, as well as for her Christmas celebrations!
Alison’s inspiration came from one of her favourite stories, ‘The Nutcracker’. The colourful palette of green, pink, yellow and blue was the perfect choice for a fun candy themed table!

Even the food labels were edible! Alison created gorgeous designs made from Vanilla Sugar Cookies then piped the food names on each cookie in fondant.

The meringue swirl Christmas Tree was an essential part of the story for Alison and it stood very proudly amongst the delicious array of sweets.

The Gingerbread Houses were also designed and baked by Alison for this creative ‘Land of Sweets’ dessert table. The petite gingerbread house shapes were decorated with royal icing and fondant to make them an extra special addition to the table.
